Lauren Alaina was a fan of America Idol's Season Ten list. Her appearance was unique as well as she was known for her commitment to God. Lauren was raised and born in Rossville Georgia. When her cousin developed a brain tumour, Lauren decided to give the singing world a go. While on American Idol she quickly became friends with contestant Scotty McCreery. The two were an ideal match for the two because they had similar religious backgrounds. Lauren was not averse to losing to Scotty she even kissed Scotty numerous times after they were revealed to Proof of McLaina supporters. Her birth date was February 20, 1937, in the city of Chillicothe, Ohio to Olden Wilson who was a worker at the ironworks as well as Lillian Ryan, a former domestic employee. Nancy was the youngest of six kids. Her father's love of music as well as the music he played at home had a major influence on Nancy as a young girl.
