Heidi Klum born Bergisch Gladbach Germany 1st June 1973. Erna Klum who was Heidi's mom was a hairdresser who worked in a salon that is professional. Gunther Kum was a manager for an organization that dealt in cosmetics. Heidi's dad was previously an assistant to the production manager of the 4711 company. Heidi was raised in the home town of Bergisch Gladbach a city of about 100,000 residents only 6 miles from Cologne. Former German-American model, Heidi Klum has become an actress and television host. Klum started her modeling career working as an barmaid at an Dusseldorf nightclub in the year 1992. Karin was a close friend of Klum's (18-year-old) student, encouraged Klum to participate in an German talent contest on TV known as Model 92. It was part a Thomas Gottschalk hosted late night talk show. Klum was competing against more than 25,000 contestants from across Germany and Europe to make it to the semi-finals. In April of 1992, she took home the top prize of $350,000.
